Kass Law Firm was founded in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1982. Attorney William Kass and legal administrator Beverly Turner and the entire team at Kass Law Firm have strong roots in the Hampton Roads area and consider it a privilege to help those in need.

William E. Kass

Attorney William E. Kass practices in a wide range of fields including personal injury, automobile accidents, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice and legal malpractice. In 1978 he graduated from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Administrative Law. In 1972 he graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He is admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer Referral Service – the highest rating awarded by the organization. Mr. Kass is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, The American Association for Justice, the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association and Portsmouth Bar Association. He was listed in “Coastal Virginia Magazine” in the “CoVaBiz Top Personal Injury Lawyers List” in 2020. He was selected as one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Virginia” by The National Trial Lawyers Association and has also been included in “Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine” for personal injury law. He was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, grew up throughout the Hampton Roads area and has practiced law in Portsmouth since he graduated from law school. He prides himself on his vigorous representation of all of the firm’s clients and enjoys representing families from generation to generation.
Beverly L. Turner
Legal Administrator
Legal Administrator Beverly L. Turner, has over four decades of experience in Virginia’s legal system. She is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. She was born in Windsor, North Carolina but considers herself a Portsmouth native, having spent the vast majority of her life in the city. She is an instrumental part of making sure that all of Kass Law Firm’s clients receive the advocacy, attention, and first-class service which they rightfully deserve.
